Helen is a 1-year-old lab mix. She was taken from NRG Houston Pets Alive as an unclaimed Hurricane Harvey survivor. She was born deaf but that doesn’t hold her back at all. She is a very smart girl and learns quick. She is learning sign commands; so far, she understands sit and we are working on down.
She is a very active pup. She loves her toys, and to run around and chase her toys. She is also very gentle and loveable. She just wants love and attention. She loves to give kisses, lay down and cuddle, as well as belly rubs. She rolls right on over to her back and can get her belly rubbed forever. She is good with other dogs (she is currently living with a senior Great Pyrenees).
She doesn’t seem to pay too much attention to him but loves attention from other humans. She is crate trained and house-trained. She doesn’t bark too much; she has a little “come play with me” bark, one to let you know she needs to pee and then she tends to bark for a bit when she is left alone in the crate but calms herself down quickly. This gal will make a great addition to a loving home!
She weighs just shy of 40lbs, has never been around cats and is too active for children under 12.
